As we stand at the threshold of a New Year, my heart is filled with gratitude to God for His faithfulness to you and to our church family throughout the year that has passed.
The Word of God reminds us in Lamentations 3:22–23, ‘Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.’ As this New Year dawns, we can be confident that the same God who carried us through yesterday will walk with us into tomorrow.
A new year invites reflection, renewal, and recommitment. Whatever joys or challenges you experienced last year, know that God is able to redeem every season. Scripture assures us in Isaiah 43:18-19, ‘Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?’ The Lord is continually at work, shaping us for His glory and our good.
May this year be marked by deeper faith, greater love, and a steadfast trust in God’s promises.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon you, and may He grant you peace throughout the coming year. (Numbers 6:24–26)
With love in Christ and every blessing for the New Year,
Revd. Steve Mayo
